This is one of my favorite scenes from Doctor Sleep, it stayed with me after it was finished. This is such a beautiful scene. Her floating around and looking at the world. The heartbeat and hearing her breathe. It gave me goosebumps! I saw it with my uncle and he absolutely loved this film. You're just a fucking child. This part cracked me up, because she always thinks she has the upper hand. She has no idea how strong Abra is.

The purpose of cinema is to portray characters not actors. Wonderful scene and acting.

I read the book recently and while I knew there would be differences (especially since there are significant differences between "The Shining" book and film) I just didn't care for the differences between the "Doctor Sleep" book and film. I know it's hard to pack details from a 500 or so page book into a 2.5 hour movie, but it felt like some key parts/themes/characters were minimized or completely omitted.

Ok but the fact that Abra is using an anime reference while beating True Knot ass is pretty iconic. I would have loved to have seen this in a movie theater instead my broke college ass had a wait for it to come out on Redbox. Doctor sleep movie watch. Get movie master. If I were Abra, I would have messed with Rose The Hats eyes and blinded her so she couldnt see. You missed the Dark Tower references, of which there were several. HELP ME IM DROWNING IN THE SEA OF COMMENTS REMEMBER ME REMEMER ME AHHHHHHH.

The attention to detail of remaking the look of the original scene is amazing. I've not read the book, so I can't comment how close it follows King's story. I can say I found the movie to be entertaining, however, if not a just a tad unsatisfying. Good follow up to the Shining, but not the best of the King inspired movies. Aint gonna lie I think Doctors sleep was better then it chapter 2. I'll admit because the first time I saw this scene in a theater I was kinda expecting this to be a good father and son reunion and I was hoping that Jack might redeem himself and help Dan and Abra fight Rose like he did in the novel but it kinda did not work out then I thought it would be. But it felt good to see Jack Torrance again in the movie.

The Acting is so good subtle but still creepy not over the top whatsoever Its like watching a Jeffery Dahmer interview. This was an excellent final showdown Rose not knowing the evil that lurks in this hotel and what it does to psychics Hell of a comeuppance. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeree's Johnnie Walker.
